MY BIG 1st GRADER

RaeLynn started 1st grade yesterday, where has the time gone? I can not believe I have a 1st grader. It just seems so much bigger than kindergarten. She absolutely loved it!! She wanted to ride the bus just like all the big kids!! I didn't even follow the bus to the school.....so scary for me!! But she knew where her classroom was and the number. So when she got home I asked her how her day was....

Rae "It was good, we have 3 recesses!'
Me "Well that is good!!"
Rae "I hit my nose on a bar at recess, it started bleeding and I had to go to the health room."
Me "What? Really? Are you okay?"
Rae "Yep, the nurse helped me and then sent me back to class but I couldn't find my room. So I asked another teacher where Mrs. Bray's class was? She helped me.
Me "Were you scared when you couldn't find your class?"
Rae "No, the teachers are really nice."
Me "I am happy the teacher was there to help you and that she was so nice. Sounds like you had a pretty exciting first day of school."
Rae "Yep. I did. And I didn't get too eat all my lunch. Lunch was too short."

Aside from her hitting her nose and not finishing all her lunch. She had a great day in 1st grade. She has grown up so much over the summer and I am really going to miss all her help around the house.
